Damn!! My Man create an entire Game of Thrones series!!!
Thanks man, I would love it. I actually wrote a whole storyline in this universe.
I like your works..
@@sarveshgururajan8780 Thank you 🙏
Your work is incredible! Just started following you a week or so ago, and this piece is fantastic. Is the dragon using stock animation, or a control rig? Will this be a continuing series?
Thank you Charlie, Keep up the good work! The dragon animation is a mix between stock animation and layered control rig animation. I'll keep uploading different tutorials and videos. Did you mean if I will be continuing this particular concept as a series?
This is great. Could you please do a beginner-friendly tutorial on creating this animation?
Thank you. I'm about to launch a beginner-friendly tutorial on animating in Unreal
Thank you so much! I enjoyed your video!
It's my pleasure 🙏
Amazing, real master
Thank you 🙏
i really want to learn it right from the beginning

Brilliant stuff, you do it so fast I can't keep up. 👍
Thanks :) I'll be launching more tutorials and courses where I'll be going slower and more in to detail.
Wow , amazing. Liked and suscribed
@@AlexandroGusso Thank you 🙏
So cool to see the process, especially the continuous tweaking and refining of the animation and lighting. Subscribed!
That's great to hear. I'll keep sharing. :)
Нормально нормально 😊
This scene and the Jurassic Video is truly amazing.. you are really good at lighting and color grading, which is a skill i completly lag.. great to see this inspiring work.
@@ljfproduction Thank you 🙏 I’ve spent quite a long time studying and practising lighting both digitally and in real life. It just takes time with experimenting and seeing what works for you personally, and then you’ll start to develop your own style.
How would we edit the animation and add our own little tweaks in it? (2:50)
@@ljfproduction One way is to add a layered control rig on the body where you can animate on top of the existing animation.
Good videos. Can you do one with dialogue. I want to see how you sync dialogue with FBX characters from Mixamo, iclone or sketchfab, no metahumans. Thanks.
@@skyrunnerpictures Thank you. I appreciate the suggestion to do a video with Non Metahuman characters. I have noted it down.
I appreciate the effort but these videos ar ABSOLUTELY impossible to follow.
I like it, cool 👍
Hey philip just genuine question which graphic card are you using for this particular animation that you have done.
@@nzxauthr6262 Hey, I’m using a RTX3090 at the moment

Nice! I love seeing other people using Unreal Engine to do this. I have been wanting to make a 15 minute short in UE for two years now and until lately, my only problem was that the sequencer tutorials were very outdated and there was not enough documentation for me to figure it out. So glad to see this aspect of UE get addressed in 5.0+ and now we have animation tools in UE too!!! The only thing that sucks is I don't have much time to commit to this right now.
Yeah, the documentation can be a bit of a jungle sometimes, especially since Epic releases a new version quite often. With regards to time, have you considered to set a smaller goal first, so instead of a 15 min short which is quite a large task, then go for a 30 sec initial goal and build from there?
@@PhillipBerg Oh, yea, I could. I would not expect to do it all in one shot, I have to split it up through small bits each day. My "problem" if you will is that I only get about 4 hours five days a week to do anything and the remaining two days I have off from work are a hit or miss. That is where my time restraint comes in. The real challenge I face is that I have to learn how to use UE for this from scratch. Not too hard because 5.4 has good documentation. Difficult because it is very hard for me to learn by watching someone do it. The best way I learn is by following a tutorial and attempting to deviate from the provided instructions to try my own things out. I learned out to set up an RPG in UE doing this in 2 weeks and started doing my own things on that project after the first week. So, realistically, it is not impossible, I can do this. The problem comes in time constraints because the longer I have to wait between days working on the project, the harder it is for me to retain what I am learning. I do have plans to fix this though. My boss at work has no issues with me bringing a laptop into work to use while I have "down time" (hotel front desk) as long as I am on top of my work for my job. In a month or two I should be able to get one to do that and I have Unreal Engine installed on a portable 1T External Hard Drive. With any luck, maybe once I get that I can get something going between Monday -Thursday. I was told by a friend I should just team up with someone who knows how it all works but that is easier said than done.
I really liked this breakdown. I’m trying to learn Unreal Engine and so many tutorials are overwhelming with all of their incredibly specific instructions. While that is helpful and necessary, it’s cool to also see a sped up breakdown that could be just as helpful for someone beyond that extreme beginner stage. Hope you will do more of these or go more heavily on specific aspects such as lighting.
Thanks, that's great to hear. It can quickly get overwhelming with a lot of information when you fist get started with Unreal. The truth is that you only need to learn a small part of Unreal to be able to start creating great stuff. I'll make more videos where I will go more in to detail on various aspects, like for example lighting, but also dive on to general filmmaking and filmmaking language.
@@PhillipBerg that 80/20 mentality seems to be a big part of understanding how to get going with Unreal. Would love to see a breakdown of which parts you think are part of the small part you’re talking about to get moving.
❤❤❤
Awesome. I love this on several levels.

great video man thank you for the break down. whats your computer specs you used to render this animation. cool video man I love break downs.
Awesome old vid bro 🎉
Thanks bro. Yeah, it's quite old.
Instead of exporting the animation FBX and re-importing, could you use the automatic retargeting tool and just retarget the base mannequin animation onto the metahuman?
Yes, that is true, it came back in 5.4 I'm just about to upload a new video showcasing exactly this.
Thanks for the video, wish someone would share a full length video showing these exact steps for those who are tryin to get into animation. I wish i could do stuff like this
Waiting for whole film😊
Excellent 👌🏻❤
Thanks for sharing!
Awesome tutorial! Animation is the hardest part of 3d cinematics. Please consider offering us longer tutorials without speeding up the video, I’m sure beginners like myself will thank you for that! A million thanks!
